Stay overnight at a temple in Koyasan, a World Heritage Site!
This is the standard plan with two meals included.

Fugen-in Temple is located almost in the center of Koyasan. It is said that the temple was founded in the Taiji era (12th century) when Prince Kakuo climbed Mount Koya and gave the guardian Buddha, Fugen Bodhisattva, to Rikijo Shonin. The principal image, Fugen Bodhisattva, is said to bring the benefit of increasing happiness.

[Meals]

This is vegetarian cuisine that is gentle on the body and mind.
*Dinner is served from 5:30pm or from 6pm to 7pm, and breakfast is served from 7:30am to 8:30am after morning service.
*Ingredients may change depending on the season and availability.
*If you check in after 6pm, we will not be able to serve dinner due to hygiene reasons. In that case, we will not be able to provide a refund.

[Bath]

The bath uses mineral-rich water that springs from Koyasan.
There are no baths in the rooms,
Please use the shared large public bath.
*The bath is open from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. There is no morning bath.

[Morning Service]

The standard time is 6:30, but the time may change so please check when you check in.
*Photography is permitted, but please refrain from using flash.

[About the Buddha Relic Hall]

Viewing of the Buddha relics will be available after morning services.
In 1996, the Buddha's relics (bones of the Buddha) were brought from Patan, Nepal, and the journey took 25 days to bring them back, retracing the path along which Buddhism was introduced to Japan, and a facility was built to house them.
The Buddha's footprints on the floor of the corridor of the Buddha Relic Hall contain sand from the eight sacred sites where the Buddha traveled around India and preached. Please receive blessings for your pilgrimage while turning the prayer wheel.
