THe staff and monks were very welcoming and attentive. Our room was beautiful with a lovely garden view. THe meals were made with care and were not only delicious but aesthetically beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the morning service with the monks which was very moving.

We enjoyed our visit. The monks were very friendly and serviceable. Our room was large and beautiful. Everything was clean and surprisingly modern. We participated in the morning service and the following guided tour through the different parts of the temple. The tour was only in Japanese so we did not understand a single word. It would have been helpful to have a leaflet in English language. The English version of the internet site for booking not so comfortable. It took me some time to figure out the booking process and the offers. Maybe it could be improved to be more user-friendly.

The monk who showed us around and provided the tour after the service was kind and helpful. They provide good access to various shrines and sacred spaces. There is a brief English guide, but you will get much more from the experience if you speak Japanese. The guest rooms and grounds are clean and well maintained. The food was well prepared vegetarian cuisine in a beautiful dining hall.
