About the Temple Stay Booking Request

If you would like to leave the choice of temple lodging to us or the instant booking temples are full on your desired date, you can use our Booking Request service. This service is designed for guests who are flexible about which temple they stay at, as we will search for an available alternative on your behalf.
Before submitting your request, please read and agree to the following important points:

Important Notes Before You Request

・Availability Check: We cannot check or confirm temple availability in advance. Our team will begin searching for an available temple for you after we receive your request.
・Calendar Rules: If a date cannot be selected on the request form's calendar, it means we cannot accept any requests for that day. We cannot make exceptions even if you contact us through other means.
・Facilities: Please be aware that most temple lodgings do not have rooms with a private toilet or bathroom. These facilities are typically shared.
・Pricing: Staying fees are set by each individual temple and are not all the same.

How the Booking Request Process Works

This service, provided by the Koyasan Shukubo Association(*) , gives you access to temple lodgings that are not available for direct online booking. Here is how the process works:

Step 1: Submit Your Request

Fill out the request form with your preferred dates, budget, and any other requests you may have.

Step 2: We Search on Your Behalf

Our team will contact various temples to find an available lodging that matches your preferences.

Step 3: Receive an Offer via Email

Once we find an available temple, we will email you a detailed offer, including the temple name, room type, and rates.

Step 4: Approve the Offer to Confirm

If you are happy with the offer, please log in to your "account page" on our website to approve it.

Your booking is not confirmed until you approve the offer.

Payment & Credit Card Information

・Credit Card Guarantee: To submit a request, you must register a credit card. Your card must be valid for at least one month after your scheduled check-in date.
・Payment at the Temple: Your credit card will not be charged for the stay itself. It will only be charged a cancellation fee if applicable. Please pay for your stay directly at the temple.

(*) The Koyasan Shukubo Association is an organization established in 1958 with the support of 51 temple lodgings in Koyasan.
It is registered as a travel agency in Wakayama Prefecture and serves as an intermediary for accommodation. The association operates three information centers within Koyasan, runs cafés, sells souvenirs, and provides rental services such as electric-assisted bicycles. Additionally, it offers a service called "More Koyasan" that allows visitors to pre-book special experiences in Koyasan.
