We had a wonderful stay in Hojo-in. The welcoming by Kiyo and Haru was warm. The atmosphere is calm, the food is excellent. Definitely, it is the highlight of our 5 weeks Japan travel. Unfortunately, we reserved only for one night. The temple Hojo-in and the whole village of Koyasan is worth a longer stay.

Notre séjour au temple a été incroyable, tant par l'accueil, l'atmosphère que la qualité des services ! Petit bonus : les massages zen offerts par le moine et les sutras déposés dans notre chambre pour une vraie pause zen!

We had a lovely stay at Hojo-in temple. Our room was fantastic! We loved the view on the garden and the tranquillity. The food prepared by the 93 year old chef was amazing! Also the morning prayer was an experience to attent. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Highly recommend this temple for a wonderful stay at Koyasan.
