We loved the experience! We had our own dinning room, which was so fancy! The place had an onsen, so we finally got to try had out too.

The room was not clean and the toilets were the most unhygienic that we have seen so far. The experience itself was good but we would go to another, more hygienic temple if we would do it again.

Overall the experience was good, and welcoming. The room was nice, big and very cozy. We would have enjoyed a bit more engagement with the community that makes the temple function. In other experiences we’ve had the opportunity to get to know Buddhist culture and religion, so I guess we were expecting something more immersive. It was also a shame the temple was in remodel work, but understandable. I give it a positive review, but for the experience, we felt it was an expensive stay for what we got.

It was a beautiful experience even if I would have expected some more activities to do with the monks such as the visit to the cemetery in the evening or the fire ceremony in the morning.

A great experience. This temple seemed busier than the others I stayed at. This might be why the staff seemed a bit less friendly and a bit more rushed.
