Our stay was absolutely amazing, without a single doubt, the highlight of our trip to Japan. We can’t recommend spending time in Koyasan enough; it was truly the best part of our journey. Everything there was wonderful, and staying at Shojoshin-in was the perfect cherry on top. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The meals were simple yet delicious, and entirely vegetarian. The temple itself was breathtakingly beautiful, and the onsen with Koya's own water was a real treat. I want to emphasize again how incredibly welcoming everyone was, always eager to help and ensure we had a wonderful stay. Both the morning prayer and the fire ceremony were extraordinary experiences, deeply spiritual and unforgettable. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Truly, if you have the chance, don’t miss a stay in Koyasan, and above all, don’t miss staying at Shojoshin-in.

La chambre avait une belle vue sur le jardin et assez jolie. Par contre assez bruyant. L’expérience reste un peu chère au vue de la prestation.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hoon-in. We got a warm welcome, we arrived at 14h50 and they were already waiting for us. The bathroom and toilets were clearly recently renovated, modern and perfectly clean. It was nice to attend to the morning prayer and we even got a good-luck charm.

We stayed one night at sanbo-in temple and we had an absolute blast. Worth every penny. Tori, who we are grateful to, welcomed us in the best way with perfect english and warmth. explanations were delivered for all the do’s and don’ts of the temple, along with some more intimate chats and tips. The food was a true experience! don’t be afraid to leave the dinner hall hungry as food will definitively be enough, delivering a perfect balance of not so well known dishes and classic evergreens such as tempura. As for the room, we could not wish for a better one: spacious, airy, clean, it gave us a longed for break from a week long stay in Tokyo. Koyasan, especially the cemetery, is a special place to visit. We recommend
