    We had a very pleasant stay at Hoon-in. We got a warm welcome, we arrived at 14h50 and they were already waiting for us. The bathroom and toilets were clearly recently renovated, modern and perfectly clean. It was nice to attend to the morning prayer and we even got a good-luck charm.

    We had the most wonderful time in a wonderful atmosphere at Shojoshin-in (one of the oldest temples of Koyasan).

    The temple is very beautiful, and it was a real pleasure to experience the local atmosphere and pray in the morning. The room is spacious and the facility is well-organized. It was nice to spend August 13th there to participate in the candlelight festival in the cemetery.

    I believe it is one of these experiences people should go without much prior knowledge. Overall, I am very happy with my stay at the temple. The communication was challenging but the monks relied on translators and that worked out well. I stayed 2 nights and I would recommend everyone to do the same. 1 night would have been too little, 3 too long, in my opinion.

    The structure is truly magnificent and rich in history. the guided tour was enlightening and very detailed. we really enjoyed the fire ceremony.
